Enter the keyword you'd use to find a business on Google Maps — pizza place, nail salon, or any category that fits your needs. Specific terms tend to yield cleaner, more accurate results. Broader, overlapping categories (e.g., burger joint, steakhouse, diner) can expand coverage but may reduce search efficiency.

Use free text to define your location. Keep it concise - City + Country or State + Country tends to work better than combining all three.
Search area input priority is: custom_geojson > postal_code > base_location > country/state/city/county. This priority only chooses which input is accepted as the effective address. Except for user-provided custom_geojson, the script resolves the accepted address through the geocoding service to obtain the real polygon, then searches by polygon cell/grid segmentation.

You can limit the places scraped by applying a Category filter. In a single job, you may select as many categories as you like, and you will be billed based on the actual number of results returned.
⚠️ Using categories can sometimes lead to false negatives—missing places you actually want—because many locations are not properly categorized, and Google Maps offers over 4,000 available categories, many of which are synonymous or closely related. As a result, category filters may inadvertently exclude relevant places.
To avoid this, you should list all the categories you wish to match, including their synonyms. For example, “Marketing agency,” “Digital marketing agency,” and “SEO agency” may be separate categories but often refer to the same type of business—so all should be included. For a complete list of categories, please refer to the detailed documentation.
Restrict results to places whose name exactly matches your 🔎 Search term, rather than any place containing that word. For example, searching "pizza" without this option returns all places with that word anywhere in the name; enabling it returns only places named exactly "Pizza."
Retrieve only places at or above a selected rating threshold. Unrated places will be excluded. Note that applying this filter reduces overall result volume, as lower-rated and unrated listings will be skipped.
Include or exclude places based on whether they have a website listed. Disabled by default.
When enabled, locations marked as temporarily or permanently closed will be filtered out, allowing you to focus solely on currently open places.
Open each place's detail page for deeper data extraction. This adds processing time since each place is visited individually.
