Search and extract Illinois professional license records from IDFPR in bulk. Filter licenses by profession, status, city, county, discipline history, and issue date. Get structured records for nurses, physicians, pharmacists, real estate professionals, accountants, engineers, cosmetologists, and many other regulated professions.
Filter by one or more IDFPR license type buckets (top-level profession), e.g. PHARMACY, NURSE, PHYSICIAN, DENTIST, REAL ESTATE, ARCHITECT, CPA, COSMETOLOGY, ATTORNEY, PROFESSIONAL ENGINEER, VETERINARY. Leave empty to include all 100+ profession types. Case-insensitive.
Restrict which license statuses are returned. all returns every status (ACTIVE, NOT RENEWED, EXPIRED, REVOKED, SUSPENDED, RETIRED, INACTIVE, etc.). active_only returns only currently ACTIVE licenses. inactive_only returns everything else.
Narrow results to one or more Illinois counties by name (no 'County' suffix), e.g. COOK, DUPAGE, LAKE, WILL, KANE, MCHENRY, WINNEBAGO, PEORIA. Leave empty for statewide and out-of-state results. Case-insensitive.
Narrow results to one or more mailing cities, e.g. CHICAGO, AURORA, NAPERVILLE, JOLIET, ROCKFORD, SPRINGFIELD, PEORIA, ELGIN. Leave empty for all cities. Case-insensitive.
Restrict by disciplinary history. all ignores discipline. clean_only keeps licensees with no disciplinary history (ever_disciplined='N'). disciplined_only keeps only licensees who have been disciplined at some point (ever_disciplined='Y'), useful for compliance and risk analytics.
Optional. Narrow within a license type by exact sub-category description, e.g. PHARMACIST, REGISTERED NURSE, PHARMACY TECHNICIAN, ADVANCED PRACTICE REGISTERED NURSE, MANAGING BROKER, LEASING AGENT. Leave empty to include all sub-types. Case-insensitive.
Optional. Only return licenses originally issued after this date (strict calendar date, no relative dates such as 'yesterday'). Useful for net-new licensee tracking and graduating-class outreach. Leave empty for all dates.
Maximum number of records to return. 0 means unlimited (the full unfiltered dataset is 1.2M+ records). Set a small value like 100 to preview the schema quickly and cheaply.
Number of Socrata records fetched per API request. Higher values mean fewer round-trips but more memory; lower values are friendlier on small memory plans. Maximum 50000. The default is fine for most runs.
Delay in milliseconds between Socrata API requests. The default keeps the run comfortably within Socrata's shared anonymous rate limit; raise it to 500-1000 ms for very long runs to avoid 429s.
Optional Apify proxy settings. Rarely needed - data.illinois.gov is a public open-data endpoint with no IP-level blocking. Example: {"useApifyProxy": false}.
